What is SonBeam?
SonBeam Service Company is the new branch of SonShine, built specifically for outreach opportunities.
While most SonShine classes are going to focus largely on technique refinement year round and will be learning pieces to perform at our end-of-year Spring Reverences', some classes are now a part of SonBeam in order to use their technique and efforts to serve the community and proclaim the gospel through seasonal outreaches!
How Does This Work?
SonBeam classes will utilize Thursday class time to refine the technique they are taught through application in preparing songs and dances that express the truth in love. SonBeam will minister through outreaches to hospitals, orphanages, retirement communities, local churches, lower-income communities, festivals, community events, and service projects.
This will allow these students to not only do what they love, but give them the opportunity to realize their capacity to impact a lost and hurting world, even while they are young. This can be a life-changing experience, as well as a very bonding experience for them with their peers. The initiative students get to exercise in these settings can really propel them forward in confidence in every other area of life!
