SonShine Theater Program

Our Theater Program has grown over the past six years into a thriving, three-level program designed to develop confident performers from their very first steps on stage to advanced theatrical productions. Each level builds upon the last, allowing students to grow in skill, confidence, and stage experience.

Theater Cadets is our introductory program for our youngest performers. Students develop a strong foundation in acting through creative drama, stage direction, improvisation, character development, voice projection, movement, and expressive storytelling. Each semester, Cadets showcase what they’ve learned through skits and one-act plays that build confidence and a love for the stage.

Theater Corps is designed for students who are ready to take their performance skills to the next level. Corps members continue to strengthen their acting techniques while gaining experience in larger productions. Depending on the season, they may perform alongside our advanced Theater Troupe in a full-scale production or prepare and present a production of their own.

Theater Troupe is our premier performance company for our oldest and most experienced actors. Troupe members are challenged with advanced acting, character development, stage presence, and theatrical storytelling as they rehearse and perform full-length productions. This program emphasizes excellence, leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to using the performing arts to inspire and impact audiences.

Whether a student is stepping onto the stage for the first time or preparing for leading roles, our theater program provides a supportive, Christ-centered environment where creativity, confidence, and character flourish.
